Jointly hosted by Kyrie Therapeutic Farm, Mental Health Ireland and Maynooth University, this event will shed light on the innovative approach of Kyrie Therapeutic Farm in providing recovery-oriented mental health services in Ireland. Join us at the Royal Irish Academy to learn more about this groundbreaking initiative and its potential impact on mental health care in the country. With contrbutions from those with lived experience, leading psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, as well as Lisanne Finston, the CEO of Gould Farm, which has been our inspiration. The day will include talks, research presentation, panal discussions and lunch and coffee are provided.
Our speakers also include our conference chair Catherine Brogan, who is chair of the National Implementation and Monitoring Committee for Sharing the Vision; Dr Pat Bracken, Consultant Psychiatrist and contributor to the WHO Guidance on community mental health services: Promoting person-centred and rights-based approaches; Ciara Glynn, Peer Support Worker, Board Member Mental Health Reform; Ber Grogan, Mental Health Reform; Lisa Archibald Co-Director of Intention Peer Support; John Mckeon CEO and Founder of Kyrie Farm; Dr Iseult Twamley, Open Dialogue Trainer; Dr Catriona O’Toole, Associate Professor with Maynooth University, and Sarah Hourigan (founder of Nature Therapy Ireland) from Mental Health Ireland. We are also delighted to welcome peer spport worker Sandra O’Sullivan to our lived experience panel.
