Skies above a field

My name is Cathy Noble and I am a 68 years old widow in remission from a diagnosis of mental illness.  I feel well.  This painting was made recently using acrylic paints on paper and it’s of skies above a field, inspired by seeing vast open skies above the flat fenlands of Cambridgeshire, which is where I live.   There’s something impressive about cloudy skies – the way clouds move and blow in the wind, ever changing and eternally evolving.  I guess life and moods are like that really,  always changing and evolving.  We’re never stuck in one condition for too long – if we’re very patient we often move on to better things.   I grew up in 4 different countries and went through some painfully lonely times each time my family moved,  but I’m now settled down and I have good friends and good healthcare and I’m content in old age.   When we’re suffering, that’s when we often find unexpected strengths within ourselves.  Never give up.
