20% of the population in England are being prescribed dependence forming drugs

Dr Peter Scott-Gordon reports on the correspondence between John Perriot and his MP Cat Smith and asked her to table some questions in parliament regarding the high number of English patients who are currently being prescribed dependence forming drugs.

Amongst these are benzodiazepines & z drugs, anti-depressants and gabapentinoids, as well as the more well known class of drugs causing addiction/withdrawal – the opioids.
