This two-hour interactive workshop, led by Dr. Bill Pettit and Dr. Rani Bora, invites participants on a transformative journey beyond the existing paradigms of mental health. Designed for both mental health professionals and individuals with lived experience, the session aims to shift perspectives on mental well-being by exploring the Three Principles understanding.

The Three Principles is a psycho-spiritual paradigm pointing to the inside out creation of experience and the presence of love and wisdom within the consciousness of all human beings.

This paradigm presents hope of complete healing and mental wellbeing regardless of pastchallenging experiences (often given the disempowering label as traumas despite overwhelming evidence that the individual’s response varies immensely and is dependent on the person’s level of psycho-spiritual understanding).

Could it be that Victor Frankl, Gandhi, Martin Luther King and many others are NOT exceptions to the rule but ARE the rule in action. We will make the case that this is true and a paradigm shift that brings fresh hope to all.

“There is always Hope because there is ALWAYS Health.” Bill Pettit MD

A New Principle Based Mental Health Paradigm will be presented as an alternative to the two presently prevailing paradigms. These can be seen as the “ What’s wrong with you?”paradigm and the somewhat more recent the “What happened to you?” paradigm.

The Three Principles or ‘Mental Wealth Paradigm’ can be seen as “What’s already within you?” paradigm. Dr. Rani and Dr. Bill will highlight the value of focusing on our spiritual gifts i.e. innate resources, which go beyond being defined by diagnoses or past traumas.

What this workshop is about:

Awakening Hope: The primary goal of the workshop is to awaken hope in those feeling disillusioned by traditional approaches. Participants will be guided to see that, regardless of their circumstances, every human being have within their consciousness a spiritual river of love and wisdom, that is available every moment of life and cannot be lessened but can only be obscured by giving life to unhealthy thoughts.

The Power of Deep Listening: The workshop will emphasise the importance of listening beyond the intellect. Dr. Bill and Dr. Rani will invite participants to practice listening for a deeper feeling—a key to accessing deeper insights and wisdom.

Interactive Dialogue and Q&A: Expect an engaging, conversational format where the facilitators share insights and invite participants to reflect and interact. This will include sharing real-life stories, exploring the concept of psychological innocence, and addressing participants’ questions to help clarify this fresh understanding of innate mental health.

Experience Inner Peace: The facilitators will invite participants to experience moments of inner stillness. The experience of a quiet mind is intended to help participants connect to their own mental wealth and feel the possibility of true peace and well-being.

The objective of this workshop is that every participant:

– Will have awakened from within fresh hope of incrementally experiencing greater levels of peace of mind regardless of past experiences, present challenges and future uncertainty.

– Will have a greater awareness of the innate well-being already present within them and resources to facilitate the realisation of greater levels of understanding

– Will experience that an understanding of our spiritual nature brings simplicity and clarity to apparent complexity, contradiction and confusion.

Bill and Rani look forward to you joining then in a lighthearted exploration of the benefits of realising our spiritual nature.

“… there are two types of knowledge. One type is our intellectual knowledge, which is connected to our learned and memorised understanding and experience of life. The second knowledge I speak of is spiritual in nature and lies deep within the soul of all human beings. Sometime, people call this spiritual knowledge wisdom.” – from The Enlightened Gardener by Sydney Banks
