Marion Brown

Marion Brown is a retired independent psychotherapist and mediator. Through her work she became very concerned to learn of the very difficult experiences people are having with antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications and sedatives taken 'as prescribed' - often difficulties with 'side effects' and 'withdrawal' problems - and/or developing problems over the longer term which are not currently recognised as such by the prescriber(s). She co-founded a local self-help peer group 'Recovery and Renewal' in 2013 and this led to her becoming the named petitioner for a Public Petition to the Scottish Parliament, inviting input from those affected, and campaigning online together with many others, including the co-authors of this blog piece for MITUK.
