Jon is single, self-employed, and lives alone. Before the Autumn of 2021 he hadn’t been to a doctor for over 30 years, led a relatively healthy life and had never had any mental health issues. A diagnosis of Stage IV prostate cancer in the Autumn of 2021 tipped him into a sudden and deep depression. He was treated without consent with ECT, an ‘antipsychotic’ and two ‘antidepressants’. He eventually managed to stop this treatment and is no longer depressed.
