About this event

EFT (emotional freedom technique)is a profoundly effective self-regulating and user-friendly resource which involves tapping on various acupoints on the body to allow a flow and release of blocked tension or stuck energy. It is combined with affirming and intentional statements, breath-work and visualisation. Unlike other psycho-energetic methods that need to be ‘done to’ the person by a practitioner, EFT can be self-applied. It is used by teachers in schools and health practitioners, internationally for trauma work, or where language may be barrier, and is gaining mainstream recognition and acceptance.

Practising EFT starts to facilitate cognitive shifts: limiting beliefs, phobias and some physical conditions can ease and change. A simple EFT demo, exercise and practice will be included in this introduction – so that you will hopefully experience the benefits.

Deceptively simple as EFT appears to be, (even children can learn this) there is a science behind tapping and recent research links, evidence and training info will be included.

Viv Fogel is a UKCP Psychotherapist & Supervisor (Psychosynthesis) and EFT International (EFTi reg.) Advanced Practitioner & Mentor.

Viv has worked as an integrative psychosynthesis therapist since 1985 and as a supervisor since 1991, in private practice and for various psychotherapy-training organisations, such as The Psychosynthesis Trust, where she supervised for almost 30 years. Ever interested in the ways in which our unconscious intelligence reveals and expresses itself – creatively, energetically and via the body, Viv studied various forms of energy-medicine from 2001, working with some of the top metaphysicians and teachers.

In 2007 Viv qualified as an Advanced practitioner in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, commonly known as tapping) and later as an EFT trainer and mentor. For over a decade she set up and ran small group trainings to teach psychotherapists and counsellors how to integrate EFT into their clinical talk-therapy practices, and is a founding member of the Energy Psychotherapy Network www.energypsychotherapynetwork.co.uk

Viv mentors energy psychotherapists, alternative and mainstream (NHS) health practitioners, adoptees, and those who work with endangered apostates and exiles. (Coming from a refugee background herself.)

She has written articles about her work and given talks and workshops in the UK, Italy, Sweden and Germany.

This workshop will be recorded for those who can’t attend live and a CPD certificate for 2 hours will be available afterwards.

MITUK’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for fundamentally re-thinking theory and practice in the field of mental health in the UK, and promoting positive change. We believe that the current diagnostically-based paradigm of care has comprehensively failed, and that the future lies in non-medical alternatives which explicitly acknowledge the causal role of social and relational conflicts, abuses, adversities and injustices.
