Great interview, but I would like to comment on your brother’s example of ‘What do we do if a schizophrenic is running around with a knife’, if we replace the word schizophrenic with black, then this becomes a racist statement. If anyone is running around with a knife then we need to apprehend them. Please stop associating mental distress with violence, many individuals who’ve experiences mental distress are survivors of crime, not perpetrators.
