Dr Lucy Johnstone, lead author (with Professor Mary Boyle) of the Power Threat Meaning Framework, will be running workshops in New Zealand and Australia in February and March. She will be joined by Professor John Cromby, one of the contributors, in Australia. The invitations come from ISPS Australia and ISPS New Zealand, the Blue Knot Foundation in Australia, and psychological societies in New Zealand. This reflects growing interest in the Framework since its publication in January 2018. Lucy will keep us up to date with the response to the events. See the links below for dates and venues.

The Framework and related resources can be freely accessed here.

MITUK’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for fundamentally re-thinking theory and practice in the field of mental health in the UK, and promoting positive change. We believe that the current diagnostically-based paradigm of care has comprehensively failed, and that the future lies in non-medical alternatives which explicitly acknowledge the causal role of social and relational conflicts, abuses, adversities and injustices.
